It has been just about a month since I got home from the Youth Olympic Games - At first I was a little skeptical about the whole games thinking it would be a "soft" competition with too much focus on culture and education. Was I proved wrong!! It has been so eye opening to see the youth of today 3500 of them from all around the world giving it heaps and all mixing together in such a mature way. All the youths that would have competed will go home after an experience of a life time.

Highlight for me was watching Aaron Barclay win the gold in the triathlon and him and Maddy then get a silver medal in the teams event. It never ceases to amaze me - when you get the energy right around you amazing things can and will happen. Maddy was so fired up after seeing Aaron win the gold she became a woman possessed in the teams event and made up heaps of time on the leaders which enabled Aaron to finish in silver!! If you believe you can do something the only thing stopping you is yourself. Belief is such and interesting beast but when you get it - its your forever!!
